1. Who We Are
Quillon is developed and published by KM4W LLC, a single-member limited liability company registered in New Hampshire, USA.
This Privacy Policy applies to:
- The Quillon iOS application ("the App")
- The Quillon website at quillongame.com
The short version: Quillon is a one-person indie game. Your data is never sold, never shared with advertisers, and never used for anything beyond running the game and communicating with players who asked to hear from us.
2. What We Collect
Gameplay (Relaxed & Daily Modes)
Relaxed and Daily Mode gameplay is entirely local. No gameplay data from these modes is transmitted to our servers. Your progress, streaks, and puzzle history live only on your device.
Timed Mode Leaderboard (Optional)
Timed Mode includes an optional global leaderboard. If you choose to appear on the leaderboard, we collect:
- Your score for that daily session
- A display name you choose (entered after your first completed word during onboarding)
- An anonymous Apple-generated user identifier (via Sign in with Apple) — we never receive your real name or Apple ID email address unless you explicitly choose to share it
Leaderboard participation requires Sign in with Apple. You can play Timed Mode without submitting your score to the leaderboard.
Email Address (Optional — Website Only)
If you enter your email address on quillongame.com to receive updates about Quillon, we store that address in HubSpot (see Third-Party Services below). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
Purchase Information
If you purchase the Timed Mode unlock ($3.99, one-time), the transaction is processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to verify entitlements. RevenueCat receives an anonymized subscriber identifier and purchase receipt; we do not receive your payment card details.
Crash & Diagnostic Data
If you have enabled "Share iPhone & Watch Analytics" in iOS Settings, Apple may provide us with anonymized crash reports and diagnostic data. This data contains no personally identifiable information.
What We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect your real name, precise location, browsing history, contacts, microphone input, camera input, health data, or any other sensitive personal information. There are no third-party advertising SDKs in Quillon.
3. How We Use It
We use the limited data we collect for exactly three purposes:
- Running the leaderboard — storing and displaying daily Timed Mode scores
- Verifying purchases — confirming Timed Mode entitlement so the unlock works correctly
- Communicating with players who opt in — sending game updates and launch news to email subscribers
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, machine learning training, or any purpose beyond those three.
4. Third-Party Services
Apple (App Store, Sign in with Apple, StoreKit)
Apple processes all in-app purchases and, for leaderboard participants, provides an anonymous user identifier via Sign in with Apple. Apple's privacy practices are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
RevenueCat
RevenueCat is used to manage and verify the Timed Mode purchase entitlement. RevenueCat receives an anonymized subscriber ID and purchase receipt. No payment card data passes through RevenueCat. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
HubSpot
If you sign up for email updates on quillongame.com, your email address is stored in HubSpot. HubSpot is used solely to send you those updates; your address is not used for any other purpose. See HubSpot's Privacy Policy. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Neon (Database)
Leaderboard scores and display names are stored in a Neon PostgreSQL database hosted in the United States. Neon is a database infrastructure provider and does not use your data for any independent purpose.
Cloudflare
quillongame.com is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may collect standard web server logs (IP addresses, browser type, page requested) for security and performance purposes. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
5. Data Retention
- Leaderboard entries are retained indefinitely to maintain historical daily rankings. You may request deletion at any time (see Your Rights below).
- Email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
- Purchase records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat according to their own policies.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete data we hold about you. Regardless of jurisdiction, we will honor reasonable requests.
To request access, correction, or deletion of your data, email us at support@km4w.com. We will respond within 30 days.
To unsubscribe from marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or email us at the address above.
To remove your leaderboard entry, email us with the display name you used and the approximate date of the score. We will delete the record promptly.
7. Children
Quillon is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@km4w.com and we will delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify email subscribers. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
